As a Porter family tradition, we have gone to the military cemetary up on the cliff in Pt. Loma, near San Cabrillo Monument, to pay our respects to the many who have died for our country. It never ceases to amaze me at how many men and women have truly sacrificied their own lives for me. I feel quite humbled and quite grateful that I live in this country.
The view from the cemetary is incredible as well. We like to sit and reflect and appreciate our amazing city as well.
I hope it's not disrespecting too much, but I loved how Stephen and Sienna were while reading this headstone. Surprisingly, Sienna didn't even try to take off the flags from the graves! She must've felt the reverance that was there. I am so grateful to those that are fighting right now for our country, whether there be many who think they shouldn't be over there anymore. It is still a very selfless act they are performing, and I support that.

Those are such beautiful pictures! I love the one of your Dad holding Chloe up in the air. I've been to that Monument before, but it's been a long time.
Stunning pictures. I am glad you are continuing the tradition with your family!
