Today was a very fun day. We set off to Carlsbad for an adventure in strawberry picking. We went with some friends from church, which definitely made it more fun. The above picture is Chloe before she realized how much she truly detested the strawberry field and the life that goes with it. VERY cute nonetheless!
Sienna got very into it though....she picked and picked. Not to mention, she held a strong preference for the green strawberries. I kept pointing out the pretty red ones, but she insisted that the green ones were where it was at! There were plenty to go around. It probably helped that the plants were just her height. Gosh am I jealous! Cause my lower back took the heat. I really should have bent my legs!

By the end, Chloe was BEGGING to go. Sienna just would not hold still or stand next to me for a picture. It was a very fun activity, and despite the $11 is cost to go and labor after our own strawberries, the experience was extremely fun. It really made me appreciate the laborers who do it daily for a job. I will never take a berry for granted again!

YUMMMMMM. I ordered strawberries from Oxnard (Karen Uda, thank you very much!)But I never thought to pick them in like our own backyard...were they good ones? Love your girls' photos and you're lookin' pretty cute yourself, girly.

that looks like so much fun but I am so apprehensive to do that w/ Lincoln! He would end up not only picking the green ones, but EATING them before they see the bucket!

I love picking strawberries! My parents used to take us all the time when we were little, you gotta love strawberry shortcake!
