Camping at the beach rocks. I really just love it. Our good friends, and neighbors, the Littles reserved a site at the San Onofre State Beach campgrounds and invited us. They are so awesome and so prepared. You can tell they've done this before. Marcela didn't forget ANYTHING! This was my first time camping with my children, so I forgot a bazillion things.
But oh the fun we had! The walk you take from the Trestles parking lot (east of the 5 freeway off of Cristianitos) to the Trestles beach is quite the trek (1 mile to be exact!)!! That includes about 1/4 of it is treking through deep sand. It is totally worth it though. What a beach! And what a break! Unfortunately for Stephen and Seth it wasn't breaking all that big. They still had fun though.

Starting the trek to the beach.
The guys surfed "uppers", although you can see Lowers and the loads of guys down there....looked appealing actually. Next time!
Our good friends were waiting for us when we got there.
Chloe watching daddy paddle out to surf it up. Gotta love her hand saying "Where are you going 'diddy'?"

Sienna being so sweet feeding daddy some yummy beach food. I'm totally not hitting a lot of the information...mostly due to lack of time right now. Perhaps I'll expound later. For now enjoy the pics!

Cute pictures! I've never been to that beach, but it sounds like quite a hike. Have you ever camped at San Elijo? That's where my family usually camps, and the great thing about it is you're right next to the beach and it's just a short walk from the camp to the sand!
totally on our list of things to do for the summer... although we get to camp in comfort as my sister has a sweet trailer =). You'll have to tell me what to bring!
THat looks so fun! I would love to be sitting on a beach, feeling the sand in my teeth, and hearing the splash of the water. And I love that pic of Chloe facing the water too.
Such fun! And so brave! One of these days we will get to camp out on the beach, I think I just need to plan it and not keep putting it off! :)
wow...that takes me back!
used to go down there as a teenager.
what a fun trip.
Camping with the girls! Looks like fun! Hyrum really wants us to go camping as a family but it intimidates me so much! I should ask you for some good advice!
How fun! I love to camp at the beach, there's no better place!
You guys are such beach bums I love it. Camping on the beach is one of my favorite things to do, I love it! It looks as though you had a fab. time!
Someday you'll have a post called 'Loveridges'. And how we all FINALLY got together at the beach. How we had a fantastic time. A line about all the delicious food. How the kids were happy and well behaved the WHOLE TIME. But most of all, that we'd gotten together and how it was outrageously fun.
Until then, glad you have the Trestles :)
I am so jealous that you can go camping on the beach whenever you want!!! Your girls are so beautiful Brooke! I miss you! The other day, for no reason at all, I thought about that yummy pizza we would always get in Rivera, and ofcourse goiabada, mmmm. Love ya! (oh and that post about obesity was totally meant to be a joke, so I'm glad you laughed (=
