Changed for the better

I know it may sound silly, but I truly feel that I am changed for the better after seeing Wicked in Los Angeles last night. It is such a touching musical. The music is inspiring, the parts were well-played and the design aspect is just amazing!! I loved ALL of it! I seriously owe my in-laws big time for this.

My sister-in-law, Christy, gave me the Wicked CD (wink) so I started listening to it in the car. Before I knew it I was singing all the words to more than half the songs. They really are such catchy, fun lyrics. This was all before I had seen the play yesterday. After loving the music so much, it made me really want to see it. My husband told me randomly one day that his parents were going to take us to see it. I was ecstatic!! I've only heard good things about Wicked. Now I know why!!
Our niece, Madison, came along also...so glad she did! Love ya Mads!
The old Chinese Theater, so cool!! I loved seeing all the funky/scary impersonators outside putting on their little shows. I even saw Edward Scissorhands...lucky me! (Warning: pictures are all quite blurry, our camera stink lately)
My father-in-law, Barry, insisted on eating at Shelly Cafe. Clint Eastwood filmed a part of "Million Dollar Baby" there apparently. Pretty good food.
We ran into Alfred...
...and one of my girls' favorite Sesame Street characters...
...but what really matters? WICKED!!!!!!!!
(can you see the glee on my face? um...yeah!)

I'm in the big club now. Cause now I want to be Wicked!!!!

very cute jacket. I know nothing about that play except the name is very very strange and why are we the only ones Barry and Lee haven't taken to see it? hhhmmmm

Brooke you are so hot! Just wanted to let you know in case you've forgotten, because you look fabulous!

I loved seeing Wicked too - Cameron's parents took us last year for Christmas. It was so incredible ... it was such a memorable experience for me as well. I also got the cd before the play, and listened to some of it before, but not all. I was glad I did! I HIGHLY recommend this play to everyone. BTW - it is NOTHING like the book, which is absolute TRASH!!!! I had to put it down and throw it away ... jk, return it to the library. LOVED the play, though. Incredible!!!!!

Okay, so I know this post is older, but I somehow lost your blog link and am now just catching up. Yea for Wicked! Isn't it awesome? I went a couple years ago in Seattle, and we're going again when it comes to Portland in March. I can hardly wait! But one suggestion - don't EVER read the book. It's weird, and nothing like the musical. Trust me, not worth the time! Instead, use your time to dance around signing the songs and pretending to be Elphaba :)
