so i know this doesn't seem very thankful when i'm having to catch up on my thankfuls, but i truly am grateful for all i have. a little swamped with life, but grateful. so here we go!
day six
san diego.
i just love this amazing city that i live in. the weather, though sometimes boring, is optimal for living life year round. the beaches are awesome and are really the reason to be here. beaches = surfing, sun-bathing, sandcastle building, bodysurfing, watching old ladies strut around la jolla shores with thong bikini bottoms on (ahem!). this city has so many fun things to do, we are close to los angeles (but no too close, phew!), close to mexico (almost too close, really), one hour from snow, one hour from desert, minutes from the beach, etc. one of my favorite views of the city is from shelter island looking out across the bay at the downtown skyline. it's not a big skyline, but it's nice! i have lived here all my life and there's not much to complain about. (but if i were to ask for one thing in san diego, it would be more greenery, which ultimately comes from more rainfall, which...let's face it, isn't going to happen. except for tomorrow.)
day seven
cute shoes.
i know this seems a little bit shallow, but really...shoes can make or break an outfit. i recently witnessed someone's very organized and fully stocked closet full of really cute shoes. it made me look forward to the day that i will be able to have more than just what i need. i'm constantly ogling over shoes that i see, but i try to be good. i am a bit picky, so we'll see how that works out.
