this is my dear grandma. i love her so much. she is my mother's mother. her mother's maiden name was snow. she loves to eat sweets. she loves her children and grandchildren more than anything! she's an amazing quilter. her homemade bread is amazing!
i was just up in sacramento visiting her recently, which was so wonderful! it had been about a year and a half since i'd been up there to see her (although i guess i saw her at my mom's wedding in february)....way too long. i enjoyed the time i had to just sit on the swing chair in the back and talk to her. i loved hearing more details about her mission in northern california, which extended up into oregon as well. she ended up serving a large majority of her mission there in klamath falls. she even met my grandpa while serving a mission. they started writing each other while serving and kept it up afterwards, until they finally married. i didn't know this until that weekend, but she had some health problems while on the mission that almost sent her home. but no...she's one tough cookie and endured and even went farther away than her mission president would've liked, continuing to serve in klamath falls.
i love you lots grandma and hope that i get up to see you again very, very soon. then we can finally tie some quilts, bake some bread and maybe even watch the lawrence welk show! xoxo

Thanks for the post. I need to go see her since it's been awhile since I have.
It was cool to find out she served in Klamath Falls because that is where Karli is from. I actually went to the building and ward that she served in.
