Stephen's brother, Matt, his wife Casey, and their four darling children live in the portion of Rancho Bernardo called 4S Ranch. They were evacuated from their home at 4am Monday morning. They sat in traffic on the 56 for 3 HOURS to get to our apartment in La Jolla. They stayed with us for about 3 days and during that time we had as much fun as possible, considering the circumstances. We were stuck indoors most the time since the smoke from the fires was all blown to the coast....US! We watched lots of movies, colored, and played games. Following are random photos from their visit... ...Baylee and Madison occupying their time oh so wisely...
...watching a movie with Kettle popcorn...
...finally getting a break from the tiny apartment to play in the plethura of leaves outside the building.
Stephen took this shot Tuesday night as we went for a drive. The smoke made the sun and sky crazy pretty colors.

Wow, that is so crazy! I'm so glad San Marcos wasn't hit much by the fires and that our families are okay. The sky does look pretty!
