I love to bake on Valentine's Day and am going to instill that in my children. Actually, I love to cook all the time, but find it especially necessary on holidays (my creative juices flow a little better on those days). So, today we busted out the supplies and got to work. Valentine M&M's on hand made it a little more festive.
Sienna enjoyed smearing the melted shortening around in the glass bowl and feeding it to life-long-buddy, Ducky.
You should've heard the gasp of excitement/happiness as I poured the M&M's into the bowl. That was a breath-taking moment apparently. Then of course she needed to have a few, and then a few more, and then....I eventually did stop giving them to her! But I got in trouble for that! "Hey- she hasn't had lunch yet!"

They didn't come out quite as pretty as I'd hoped, but they taste divine! Happy Valentines to all and a happy February!

So fun! I decided to try baking some today too. I tried the homemade somoa recipe I posted on my blog and I'm not sure I'll ever do it again. It's time consuming and a bit frustrating. They better taste AMAZING! :) Sienna is a cutie as always!
That looks so fun! I didn't do any baking today because I did a fondue cheese and chocolate dinner instead. But next year for Valentine's day, I will have to bake for sure.
M&M cookies are most favorite in the world! Why do you live so far away again?!

those cookies look really really yummy. Im not allowed to make cookies anymore because I have a huge seft control problem when it come to them. I eat them all. im not kidding its really bad.
