Obviously this is not Sienna. She would have NONE of me taking pictures of her while on or near the potty. But I just had to post about her potty experience today, cause I am SOOO proud of her. I noticed that she was pushing (red face, specific stance and all) in a little corner, so I asked if she would like to try and go in the potty. The typical answer is something like, "NO!" or "Ahhh.."....so imagine my shock when she said "yeah". The bribery MUST have something to do with it.
So off we went to the bathroom. I say, "okay Sienna, sit down on the potty" to see if she really will. Honestly it's only happened like twice in the past 5 months. Instead of sitting on it, she picked up and I followed her into the dining room (she eats in there, why not poop too right? lol...sorry, I'm a little blunt I guess). So, she places it next to the table and points to her diaper. So I take it off and she SAT!!!!! I was definitely in shock and was so happy. She had already gone in her diaper, so I assumed she wouldn't do anything more than just sit there and look cute...waiting her M&M's prize. So after a few minutes, we got her up cleaned her up and washed our hands. As I went to go clean off the potty, I found a little terd (lovely word!) and some pee. I was so proud of her. She must've understood me trying to tell her to go some more if she could. Hooray! All those past efforts were not being totally ignored or in vain. I hope this is a sign of future happenings! We shall see!!
