I have an immense love for hummus. Yes, this word looks a lot like "humans", which I also like, but no...I'm referring to a delicious snack. I thought I would expound on that for you. Hummus is a dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas, blended with tahini (which is basically sesame seed paste, to put it simply), lemon juice, salt and garlic.
This stuff is so totally good for you, you would not believe it!It is very high in iron, Vitamin C and of course....FIBER! Want a good clean-out? Have some hummus. Need a healthy snack? Hummus! I love buying it with the extra garlic flavoring and eating it with chips, crackers or pitas (dried or fresh).
