if you've seen a bug's life, you know of the infamous bully grasshoppers. the head honcho of the grasshopper crew is Hopper. he's not so nice and Sienna frequently says how he needs to go on time out or get a spank (yes, we occasionally spank...so there). i always agree that hopper definitely does need a time out, to which she always shakes her head in agreement.
poor girl even woke up in the middle of the night screaming, completely terrified. it was obvious she'd had a bad dream. after consoling and comforting her, we asked what her dream was about, to which she replied, "mean, scary grasshoppers." awwww...poor girl. as sad as it was that she'd had this bad dream, stephen and i couldn't help but giggle secretly and silently to ourselves when she wasn't looking, because really...it's funny. grasshoppers? scary? mean? they scatter once you come even remotely close to them. but those weren't the kind of grasshoppers in Sienna's dream. clearly!
so it's been months since all that grasshopper drama, and tonight we're kneeling down as a family for prayer, and it's chloe's turn to pray. before chloe starts, sienna makes sure to put in her two-sense quickly. she says, "don't bless the grasshoppers!"

That is HILARIOUS!
Oh man, that is why my boys don't watch "scary" movies! I HATE being woken up in the middle of the night! Very funny about the prayer:)
awesome prayer! what I did was not let them watch TV before bed...that cut the nightmares. Jackson used to get them from Spiderman
LOVE those little prayer moments...
Great story! - I love the way kids think. Your girls are so cute. I just started a blog too. What made you go public again?
Talk to you later,
Lissy
