bubbles

i keep forgetting to write things down that the girls say that crack me up.  i want to remember those things, so i really need to be better about that!

today while my cousin, kiersten, was giving me my violin lesson...our three girls were playing.  they came in calling chloe "grandma", sienna "mommy", and i guess london was the "baby".  it just comes so natural for kids to want to play those roles.  or so it seems to me.  i remember doing the same thing, and forcing my younger brothers to be my victims.  what?  you didn't?

lately both girls always want to dance.  chloe insists on wearing her pink "ballerina" dress (which is actually a pink princess dress) adorned with a necklace, bracelet, ballet slippers and a flower in her hair.  yikes!  she can't be my daughter!  i have never been super girly.  sienna is more like me, i'm seeing.  she prefers just her black dancing dress with her dancing slippers.  sometimes a headband can be added, depending on her mood.  that's me.

sienna is such a sweet girl lately.  she was never much of a mama's girl before this last year, but now she is showing me love left and right.  it warms my heart.  for her first few years of life, daddy was the cat's meow.  she would have nothing to do with me.  i knew not to take it personal in my mind, but sometimes it would make me sad.  once i had chloe, that was all over, because she (to this day) is a total mama's girl.  sienna just warming up a little lately has really been fun.  i almost feel like i'm getting re-acquainted with her.  it's strange, like i never really got to know her on that emotional field.  now we're there, and i'm having fun with her.  she cuddles with me, she hugs me more, she wants to go places with me.  it's so cute!

I had that happen with Frankie too! Recently he's been all lovey and cuddly. I love it but was definetly thrown by it.

I love the pic of Chloe with her eyes closed. So dramatic. Although you weren't super girly you were prone to drama. Maybe that's why you and I are friends, I'm drama too. So she's not completely unlike you. You are such a good momma! I wish I could be more like you!
