calabazas

we had issues this year trying to figure out what day would work to go get pumpkins.  we had a lot of rain as well, which made us reschedule it a few times.  finally, friday was the day.  the forecast looked good and we were excited to go!  as we're driving up, it starts to drizzle, then rain a little bit.  the closer we got the worse the weather looked, but we braved it anyway.  when we arrived it was only a light drizzle again and we were so happy!   mud was everywhere to be found, despite bates' attempts at dumping hay in random areas of deep mud.

the girls waited patiently while we waited for grandma and mike to show up.  we looked at some very interesting scarecrows.   chloe was most excited to see the sea witch (of course!) scarecrow, only not brave enough to take a picture with ursula.

but sienna was...

...for the most part.

i found myself in hippy scarecrow form!  dang!  why didn't i wear my platform wedges and psychadelic T?

loved all the wheelbarrows lined up in rows.  we got the only orange one, and went to work!

more later...
