hair tragedy, part two

i guess it's some sort of rite of passage, right? every 3 or 4 year old girl has to cut her hair horrendously at some point in her toddler life. i was honestly living in a naive little world believing that i had full-proofed myself from this scenario. really, i did. what's so silly about me thinking this, is that i have several pairs of scissors which they can reach just by grabbing a stool and reaching for it. fool. that's me.

so here's the one side.

the ever-so-guilty father, didn't even try to plead his case. he knew it was a lost cause.

here's the other side.

a ziploc bag filled with luscious strawberry blonde locks. gone.

bye-bye curls!

for her "now" look... see part 3.

Brooke! My recurring nightmare! It makes me think of Little Women when Amy declares Jo's shorn hair as her "one beauty". At least Sienna has this in her pocket...she's gorgeous with or(in this case) without her beautiful curls. And she could have gone for the dramatic chop that Mulan did. (WHAT were they thinking? She cut her hair with a machete!) Looks like naps don't work like they're supposed to over there. So sorry. Oh but she's still such a sweet thing...

Tragedy! Maybe she wanted a mullet?

When I was about 5, I cut off my hair and also my little sister's curls (they never grew back!) and we had to make an emergency trip to the barber since we were going to Disneyland the next day. I looked like a boy.

hey, I've got an entire basket of scissors out in plain view on my desk, and in several other places (like the bathroom) that my kids could get at any moment and they know exactly where they are. Not only that, but I buy them their own toddler scissors too! don't feel bad, every house has scissors =)
