so i bought the fabric and it sat. it sat for far too long. i bought the wrong size drapery rod twice. that took up more time. then we still had to cut the rod cause there apparently wasn't one to fit this window size. i then, finally got around to measuring and figuring out how I wanted the drape to look. then i got to sew. finally. then came this...
...to be completed at last! i am so happy to have that window covered during the heat. ironically enough, the heat is gone. i guess it will come back during the santa ana's next month, but really...why did i take so long getting that done? didn't take me long. yikes!
below, you can see it in afternoon-sun-action!

It looks great! Good job!
cute cute cute and more cute. if you want to block even more sun/heat you can sew block out fabric to the back of it...and it IS in time. Girl, it's hot here all the way through November! =)
It looks great. That reminds me how we got our air conditioning fixed after our heat wave of 5 days of 100+ temperatures. All it took was a phone call and a little bit of money.
