tuning the piano

i feel much guilt regarding this topic, to be honest.  i am a pianist, after all, and i totally let my piano fall to the way-side.  i should've tuned it a while back when we were still in la jolla.  then we moved it into my sister-in-law's place while we lived in escondido.  then we moved it again here to encinitas.  i played it after we moved and was so embarrassed.  i didn't even want to play it, it sounded so bad.  luckily my mom had mercy on me.  she was having josef come tune her piano and so she sent him my way.  thanks ma!

this is sienna "helping" josef.  she was enthralled with him and his work.  josef is the best piano tuner i know, and is sooo down-to-earth.  we love him!  he has been tuning my piano for at least five years now.  i wouldn't use anyone else!

after he worked his magic my piano sounded like a new piano altogether.  i'm so glad he came!  if there is anyone in the san diego area or st. george area who needs a good piano tuner, call josef (pronounced joe-SEF).

Sienna looks like she is having such a great time! How exciting to have a freshly-tuned piano!

It took me ages to get my piano tuned...up in Sanders? No, I don't think there were any tuners in a several hundred mile radius! Then it took me a couple years down here to finally find a tuner who was willing to come out to where I live now. The guy who tunes for me now does a good job, but he lives in Oakland, of all places, so I just have to settle for when he makes a trip into the area. What I'm going to do when he retires I have no idea...
